Help support the Nobleboro Historical Society functions by joining. Each member receives a fall and spring newsletter that includes society news and descriptions of upcoming programs. The dues (and any additional gifts) are used for the activities of the society. Current ongoing activities include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining and operating the old Hawthorne schoolhouse as an historical reference center for the public;
  • Collecting and preserving historical memorabilia and important records relating to the town of Nobleboro;
  • Updating and cataloging the Center’s displays of artifacts and Nobleboro history
  • Encouraging and promoting interest in town history among schoolchildren and the general public through exhibits, lectures and other special events;
  • Managing and promoting the sale of books, maps and other fund raising items
  • Growing the Nobleboro Historical Society membership to include younger generations of old Nobleboro families and those "from away" in Nobleboro
